Some of you may recognize this recipe from my previous website. I wasn’t able to transfer all of my recipes to my new site, so I thought I would share one of my previous recipes to help with the transition. I make this dish almost weekly so it made sense to share it. I hope you enjoy this dish as much as my family does!
1 lb. fresh green beans, ends trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 lb. bacon, finely diced
1 c. onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 c. chicken broth
1. In skillet, fry bacon until crisp. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels.
2. Saute onion and garlic in bacon grease over low heat until soft, about 2-3 minutes. Add the green beans, stir.
3. Add the chicken broth, cover, cook over low heat until green beans are crisp tender, about 30-35 minutes.
4. Garnish green beans with cooked bacon before serving.
