101 in 1001 ~March Recap

My 101 in 1001

Let me just be honest, I kind of forgot about my 101 Things in 1,001 Days. I’ve had the opportunity to accomplish several things on this list in the last several months but chose not to. However, I was able to mark off 2 things this past month. The first one was to make a new recipe. I’ve actually made several new recipes with my Wildtree products and I’ve loved all but 1 of them. Here’s a few pictures of the recipes I loved.

The second item that I was able to mark off was preparing two weeks worth of freezer meals. I’ve always loved making freezer meals, and they actually came in hand when our house flooded back in January. We stayed in a hotel with a little kitchen so I was able to take all of my freezer meals with us. We ended up with a week’s worth of homemade dinners with no effort. So when I started with Wildtree I was excited to see that we had freezer meal workshops. I have only tried one so far but I’m in love! I got 10 meals from the kit, with plenty of Wildtree products left over to use in other meals.

101 in 1,001 ~April Recap

My 101 in 1001

Oh wow! It has been 6 months since I’ve been on here sharing my life with everyone. To be honest, I was considering hanging up my blog for good. These last 6 months have completely turned my life upside down and I’ve been taking time to myself to regain my sense of self, so to speak. Some may already know, but I’ve felt compelled to follow a different path in life. I will share that story in another post. For now, I’m checking in with my 101 things in 1,001 days.

I started our Christmas savings fund and I’m contributing to it twice a month. Next, I started a small inside herb garden. I have a few pots of cilantro, chives, and parsley growing in my kitchen. I’ve marked off my MBA because I’ve decided on a completely different route. And lastly I was able to give 100% tip one night when I took my kids out for dinner.

101 in 1,001 ~August Recap

My 101 in 1001

I’ve been taking a small break from my blog to constant more of my time and attention on my children lately. However, I wanted to take a few minutes to at least give a quick recap on my 101 in 1,001 progress.

Myrtle Beach SC

Last month I took the family on a vacation to North Carolina. While I’ve been to North Carolina before, we did take one day to head down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The kids had a blast playing on the beach and meeting Anna from Frozen. Before we left we took a quick spin on the Skywheel where I captured this beautiful picture of the beach. I know the kids can’t wait to go back again.

Tiered Platter

For my second Just Because gift, I gave this tiered platter set to one of my good friends. She’s been trying to build up her platter and stand sets, and I found this little gem for just $5! It was such a steal!! And I know she’s getting a ton of use from it.

Craft Show

I participated in my first ever craft show with my chunky necklaces. I shared a booth with my friend and I must say that I loved how everything turned out. I’ll actually be participating in my second craft show in October.

I’ve started my book list for my 40 books to accomplish. You can check out my post with all of my selections here.

Easy Blanket Fort for Kids

I also made my kids this really simple and fun blanket fort one night. I made them pizza and let them watch a movie in their fort. They had such a blast that night! It literally took me just a few minutes to get everything set up, but it was such a big deal for them. They’ve already been asking to do it again. You can check out my full blog post on that night here.

101 in 1001 ~July Recap

My 101 in 1001

I’m a few days behind in posting my 101 Recap because I was vacationing last week in North Carolina last week. I got to do some sight-seeing, visit an old high school friend, take my kids to the lake and the beach, and my husband and son had some time together. They went to catch the latest Minions movie in theaters. We all had a blast!

July was a bit tricky for me. I have been adjusting to some major schedule changes and it’s pretty much turned our world upside for a bit. But after our little R&R in North Carolina, I think we’re all feeling much better. This month I tackled a new craft, finally ordered my business cards, gave one Just Because gift, and took my kids to one new museum.

Pink My Little Pony Set

For my new craft, a tackled making a few hair bows and headbands. This one in particular was extremely challenging for me and it took me a good 2.5 hours to finish. Needless to say, I don’t know if I’ll be doing many more matching bows to go with my necklaces. But my mom snatched this set and another one up to give to my little niece for her birthday next month.

Southern Glam Business Card

A good friend of mine was thoughtful enough to design this business card for me and get them on order for me. Oh yeah, see that mug there. She made that for me too. I keep it on my desk for a little glambition! But wait, there’s more!

Boutique Sign

She also made me a custom sign for my craft show table. I’m signed up for my very first craft show this weekend, and I have another one lined up for October. Which is a good thing considering how many necklaces I have stockpiled!

Patriotic Bracelet $5

For my Just Because gift this month, I gave my niece this bracelet. She already had a patriotic necklace that matched it perfectly. My family had a huge family reunion on the 4th of July and I thought this would be a good final touch to her adorable outfit.

4th of July OOTD

Here’s a quick picture of my Baby Girl at the beginning of the reunion. I don’t remember where I got her little dress, but it was just perfect for our reunion.

4th of July Jewelry

Baby Girl also had her very own custom 4th of July Minnie Mouse necklace. For those that may not know, my daughter has a slight obsession with Minnie Mouse. Just a slight one.

Wilbur Bear

For our first museum trip this summer (yes I know I got a late start) we went to the National Museum of the USAF. I mainly went because my dear, sweet friend threatened exile if I didn’t join, but also because the museum is giving away this adorable teddy bear. You take one of the maps/brochures and visit at least seven of the museums listed inside, you get this teddy bear. Free! Of course, as I sit here and type this up, I can’t for the life of me remember where I put my kids’ maps. Typical Mom Fail!!! Well, hopefully I’ll be able to find them and figure out which museum we’ll head out to next time.

101 in 1001 May Recap

My 101 in 1001

Welcome back to my 101 things in 1,001 days!! I figured a good way to keep myself accountable for this challenge would be to post a recap of my accomplishments on the first of each month. It’s only been 1 1/2 weeks since I posted this challenge, but I have already been able to cross a few things off. I was finally able to sit down and write-up an editorial calendar for my blog, which also included a few different blog series. I’m hoping this will help me in finding time to sit down to write and to keep me from the ever hovering writer’s block.

I’ve also established a new family tradition. This summer I’ve created our first Summer Schedule. I sat down to rework my daily schedule and added in some fun daily tasks. I’ll do an in-depth blog post on our Summer Schedule for one of my Toddler Thursday posts.
